Austria a political division of stunningly beautiful mountains, quick blue skies and crystal sky-colored waters seems the fitting area as the home of Austrian Swarovski crystals. What could be a more fitting courtyard for the world’s most elegant crystals than this beautiful geographical division? However, the story of Austrian Swarovski crystals did not originate here, but rather in Bohemia, in what is now part of the Czech Representative government in 1862 with the birth of a little boy named Daniel Swarovski.

Daniel was entirely literally born into the cosmos of crystals and crystal cutting as Bohemia at the duration was known for their cut crystal and glass and Daniels male parent owned a crystal cutting residence of factors. As he grew Daniel became an indentured in his father’s and other crystal factories around the domain learning the crystal cutting train and what made some of these gem like stones more fine than others. Then one day while on a visit to Vienna, Daniel had the time to see something that would determine the course of his and his household’s lives. He attended an electrical manifestation.

While viewing the wonders of electricity it occurred to Daniel that it might be in posse to build a machine that could cut crystals automatically thus reducing the effort and serving to put out perfect and uniformly cut crystals. 19 years later Daniel patented reasonable such a machine.

Fear that competitors would poach his idea and needing a trustworthy water supply to run his new crystal keen machine Swarovski moved his household from Bohemia to Wattens, Austria where he built a hydroelectric vegetable to power his crystal cutting instrument of force. A year later the Swarovski household began experimenting in construction their own crystals.
